This year we proudly welcome all who seek adventure, championship, and (above all else) glory to participate in the revelry and majesty of the Festival of Champions!
You've received the royal invitation to the festival grounds of the Queen, Her Righteousness Lady Submunda, to join in the merriment and debauchery of the great Festival of Champions! Bonfires, feasts, songs, dances, magicks, illusions, fireworks, the strange, drunken musings of boastful old warriors. All of this and more to anyone and everyone, but especially to you heroes whose very names are household legend.
Walk the festival grounds alone or as a party! Why bother skimming over the same lousy table of contents when you can explore it? This issue is presented as a fully immersive magazine, utilizing the fully colorized PARK MAP foldout as a playable, explorable table of contents.
You of course are welcome to peruse the original character classes, community content, articles, and interviews conventionally (you know, sitting alone atop your mountain of felled bones and sinew, covered in the ichor of your enemies); we also encourage you to round up a few good players to wander the festival grounds themselves! Nearly every feature within the pages of CANDLE III can be visited in-game, investigations of which revealing all that the Festival has to offer--including a few smelly secrets!
For instance, when players visit the WATERING HOLE they will be treated to a d8 quest hook rolling table to kick off a unique task. Perhaps they'll encounter a festivalgoer succumbed to too much merriment or overhear an argument emanating from deep within the well--who can say? The Festival of Champions is rife with secrets patiently awaiting discovery by your party. The Goblin Dog stand, for instance, may or may not be hiding something...profit-shaving, perhaps? Maybe even expired condiments! Certainly not a secret underground sewer crawl complete with rival factions of goblin carnies and guard patrols! That would just be gross...

We guarantee that you will dig this compilation and that your players will become blissfully lost in the sauce as they wander the many realms pursuit of legend.
